There are some surprisingly beautiful islands located in the Municipality of Concepcion, Iloilo; a hidden pearl of the Province of Iloilo I would say. Most of the tourists associate places like Western Visayas or Panay island with Boracay. That’s the first question most of the locals usually ask me: “Have you been to Boracay?” Yes, I’ve been to Boracay and, sure, it is a beautiful little island with lots of great beaches, water activities and exciting nightlife. But it is also crowded and quite expensive, especially regarding the accommodations. So if you want to spend your vacation in a beautiful, secret place with white sand beaches and swim in a crystal clear water, feeling that you and your companions are the owners of a secluded tropical island, I would recommend to go island hopping in Concepcion, Iloilo.
If you are a beach addict like me and are committed to visit the most beautiful beaches on the planet, Boracay island in Philippines should definitely be on your list. Boracay belongs to Western Visayas island-group and is located just a few kilometers off the northwest corner of the Panaj island. This delightful island is mostly known for the white sand beaches and bright, crystal clear water in turquoise blue color.
Guimaras is an island province in Philippines, located in the Western Visayas region. This wonder of nature is definitely one of my favorite island getaway spots. Although it is a province with a capital called Jordan and it a has a couple of ports and has more than 162 000 habitats, it still haven’t lost it’s natural beauty. Its remarkably beautiful scenery is unspoiled and the air is so fresh here due to the fact there are so many trees here. Guimaras could be described as a green island or even islands since the province consists not only of Guimaras Island, but also includes Inampulugan, Guiwanon (or Guiuanon), Panobolon, Natunga, Nadulao, and many minor surrounding islands.
